Gallura in Sardinia’s northeast corner produces a clean refreshing Vermentino wine that is distinct from Vermentinos produced in the rest of Italy. Discover what makes Gallura’s Vermentino so special as you tour the lovely countryside of limestone and granite soils, dotted with small villages and punctuated by ancient ruins of the Nuraghe people. Wine making is not deep-rooted in Gallura, having a tradition of ‘only’ a few centuries, but it is passionately made. Visit some of the best wineries in the region where you can meet the people behind the wines and settle in for tastings and a light lunch.
